SAINTE MARIE PEOPLE

Sainte Marie is one of the little islands that surround Madagascar, recently discovered by tourism, but still out of the main holiday streams. The majority of its 16.000 inhabitants still live following ancient and natural rhythms and habits: the same ones that were followed when the island was a pirate base. Sainte Marie people live in huts, fish and cultivate land as it was done ages ago, wake up and go to sleep with the sun.

A different Cuba, a sort of an everyday Cuba, so easy to be met, when leaving the tourists tracks, sometimes so easy to reach that it is enough to turn a corner to pass from stereotype to reality!
