EOLIE ISLANDS
Eolie is the only Mediterranean archipelago that hosts a volcan which is always active: Stromboli, an incredible cone, about 1000m high, that pops up from Tirreno waters. Every night its burning lapilli are thrown from the volcano's mouth raying the sky with red. This isn't the only peculiarity of these islands, everyone of the seven has different characteristics: one can go from the ancestral peace of the quiet and isolated Alicudi, to the VIP-frequented Panarea.
